Designed specifically with healthcare professionals and emergency medical personnel in mind, this course focuses specifically on pre-hospital emergency care and airway management.
The BLS course provides participants with the knowledge and skills they need to assess, recognize, and care for patients who are experiencing respiratory arrest, cardiac arrest, airway obstruction, or opioid overdose. This course emphasizes providing high-quality care and integrating psychomotor skills with critical thinking and problem solving to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
This course consists of two components:
Red Cross eLearning: You’ll complete the online learning at your own pace, and master the concepts of emergency response.
Skills Session: You’ll turn concepts into skills during the 2-3 hour in-person session. Practice includes work with manikins for simulating resuscitation procedures as well as simulated first aid and breathing scenarios with other course participants.
Prerequistes:
Must be comfortable kneeling for 5-10min at a time

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a certification from the American Red Cross that is valid for 2 years.
